Have you been dreaming about what it would be like to be back on stage? Have you often wondered what it would be like to be in the spotlight and capture the audience’s attention with your talent or that speech you have been waiting to make?
What a rush of adrenaline it is being in front of a live crowd! Sadly, the current circumstances have robbed us all of this privilege.
But…
There is an opportunity to find a little of what we’ve all lost in the Alex Showcase 2021 online Drama and Music competition.
The winners of the various categories will each receive a prize. The winning performances will be submitted to the Woodlands Dairies Showtime Performers of the Year Awards programme for judging later this year.
All performers must submit a video performance which falls into one or more of the following categories to qualify for the competition:
- Drama: comedy monologue, not more than 3 minutes long
- Music: Singer with a song from any Broadway show
- Music: solo musician (no restriction as to musical instrument or genre)
- Stand-up Comedy Act: Best Personality
- Toastmaster/Speech: original speech written and performed
You may enter in multiple categories. Please submit a separate entry form for each category entered.

All video performance must be submitted by Thursday, 14 October, 3pm.
